چکیده
Neonatal respiratory distress syndrome is the leading cause of neonatal acute failure. Despite successes achieved and existing international recommendations, in some cases there a severe course this disease, which requires personalized approach to patient intensive care measures.
The article presents case successful treatment full-term newborn complicated by pulmonary barotrauma using monobronchial administration exogenous surfactant under X-ray control. In order assess disease effectiveness treatment, retrospective analysis medical documentation was carried out. From first minutes life, child had disorders, basis for non-invasive mechanical lung ventilation nCPAP (nasal continuous positive airway pressure). Progression hypercapnia hypoxemia revealed over time, therefore tracheal intubation performed convective started with FiO2 = 1,0. Monobronchial key element therapy that allowed achieve stabilization condition regression gas exchange disorders complete recovery patient.
heterogeneous involvement an effective option can be used clinical practice refractory hypoxemia.

Surfactant protein b expression in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of full-term neonates with respiratory distress syndrome.
The aim was to investigate the surfactant protein B (SP-B) expression in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) of full-term neonates with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was performed to assess SP-B expression in BALF of 60 full-term neonates with RDS and 23 healthy neonates and correlation of SP-B level with RDS classification according to chest x-r...
متن کاملSurfactant Function in Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome*
W e have reported previously on abnormalities of human surf actant in a lung from a patient with the adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) following trauma and shock.’ The lung with ARDS was compared to three normal lungs obtained from transplant donors. An abnormal static pressure-volume curve indicated reduced compliance and abnormally high surfactant film compressibility was found, but ...
متن کاملNatural surfactant substitution in respiratory distress syndrome.
Natural surfactants consist of unique proteins and lipids. Their effectiveness in improving subnormal lung function in surfactant deficiency should be established prior to any clinical trials. Rigorous tests are required to document batch to batch variability in surface activity and to exclude toxic contaminants. Up to this date randomized clinical trials in small preterm infants have demonstra...
متن کاملcomparison of insure method with conventional mechanical ventilation after surfactant administration in preterm infants with respiratory distress syndrome: therapeutic challenge.
administration of endotracheal surfactant is potentially the main treatment for neonates suffering from rds (respiratory distress syndrome), which is followed by mechanical ventilation. late and severe complications may develop as a consequence of using mechanical ventilation. in this study, conventional methods for treatment of rds are compared with surfactant administration, use of mechanical...
متن کاملPilot observational study on haemodynamic changes after surfactant administration in preterm newborns with respiratory distress syndrome
BACKGROUND Surfactant treatment reduces respiratory morbidity and mortality in preterm infants. Data on its haemodynamic consequences are conflicting. The aim was to characterise the haemodynamic effects of surfactant treatment on cardiac function in preterm newborns with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). METHODS Preterm infants (gestational age <34 weeks, birth weight <2000 g) with RDS, w...
